Find your way forward from within.
Trauma-focused, IFS-informed therapy to help you understand yourself and feel less overwhelmed by what’s happening inside.
In-person therapy in Whitby and Courtice & virtual across Ontario in English & Russian.
Hi, I’m Lucy Colcenco.
I’m a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) offering trauma-focused therapy through an Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed approach.
If you’re feeling anxious, stuck, disconnected, caught in relationship patterns that keep repeating, or coping through addictive behaviours, there may be parts of your experience that have been pushed down for a long time.
Past trauma doesn’t simply go away. It can continue to shape how you feel, react, and relate to yourself and others, even when you’re trying to move forward or hold things together.
Therapy offers a space to slow things down and begin working with what’s beneath the surface. From there, we move toward the root of these patterns, supporting you in building a different relationship with yourself grounded in clarity, compassion, and greater choice in how you respond.
My goal is to create a space where you feel safe to explore, at your own pace.
How IFS therapy supports trauma healing?
This short video offers a simple introduction to how IFS works.
What services do you offer?
I offer individual psychotherapy for adults, with a focus on trauma and emotional regulation.
My work is IFS-informed and grounded in a trauma-focused, attachment-based approach. Together, we work toward deeper understanding, self-compassion, and lasting change.
Sessions are available virtually across Ontario and in person in Whitby, in English and Russian.
Is IFS right for me?
Internal Family Systems (IFS) can be especially helpful if you feel overwhelmed by your emotions, stuck in patterns you don’t fully understand, or disconnected from yourself.
It invites you to slow down and become more curious about your internal experience, rather than trying to push it away.
You don’t need to know anything about IFS to begin. We move at your pace, and I’ll gently guide you in a way that feels steady and manageable.
Do you accept insurance?
Psychotherapy services are covered by most extended health insurance plans. We recommend checking with your provider to confirm your specific coverage. At this time, we do not offer direct billing.
You don’t have to carry this on your own.
